Shrimp are more advanced on the evolutionary scale than any of the species that we have considered so far. Marine shrimp, however have already been cultured for production on commercial scale almost over the world, in Egypt shrimp culture is relatively new, where it was introduced in both private and public sectors in 1988. It is necessary to apply this investigation to give primary information on the problems facing cultured shrimp in Egypt and their control through the following points:Studying the effects of environmental and biological factors on shrimp culture.Isolation and identification of the causative agent of the diseases ( bacterial and mycotic.Determination of the prevalence of the most common infectious agents affecting shrimp in different seasons.Applying challenge test for the isolated microorganisms.
