Beschreibung

With varied effects of globalization in trade, technology and trends, tenets of life in Bangladeshi society is ever-changing. Gone are the days of carbon neutral mud huts and rickshaw transports. Excessive traffic jams and frequent load shedding have caused tremendous loss of productivity and output in the growing economy. Although one of the least developed countries in the world, it is most affected by global warming and climate change. With increasing national population and unchecked emissions due to enhanced lifestyles, the current economic and ecological situation continues to get worse. Where foreign aid and the availability of global mitigation funds should pave the way to viable solutions, continued turmoil and detrimental policies have further aggravated the scenario. Besides observing the various possibilities in the depleted energy reserves, the current publication observes the traffic congestion and construction industry and their effects the lives of the people, the economy and the environment. The book also explores the current plans and future roadmaps where governmental regulations support the private sector in a free market solution to this national crisis.
