This book is a summary of author's activities of almost four decades on the safety evaluations for nuclear installations. A set of methods was developed, reviewed and used for real projects. Important safety related decisions were taken based on those evaluations. The results are implemented in real projects in which the author participated in his professional activity. Those activities took place while a whole international set of rules was changing
